MMM – Magellan 4350 GPS Giveaway

There are many different GPS brands to choose from now. My heart, though, will stay with Magellan from here on out. Magellan makes a quality product that I feel beats all of the competition. I was lucky enough to try the Magellan Maestro 4350 GPS.

When I received this navigation device, I immediately plugged it in using the included wall charger and turned it on. After about five minutes of use I had it mastered! The Magellan line does take some getting used to, but only a few minutes and you are good to go (literally!).

The Magellan Maestro series has come out with a really cool One Touch feature.  This feature allows you to program up to nine Points of Interest (POI) into a drop down screen. This allows you to just touch, touch, and the location you are going to is all ready to go.

maestro-gps

Some of the key features of this GPS are:

  • Magellan One Touch Feature
  • A large 4.3 inch color touch screen
  • The maps are not only for the US, they are also Canada and Puerto Rico
  • The GPS will notify you which lane you should be in
  • On the side of the navigation system you can plug the GPS into your car adapter and have it play sound through your car radio
  • Built in bluetooth – this is one of my favorite features as a mom – it allows you to answer and make calls through the device!
  • Location for memory card, such as the ones SanDisk makes, that put MP3’s right into the GPS. We were able to play music, get directions and have a great family trip!

In celebration of two milestones for Mommas Review:

Well you about said everything about the product that was listed on their website. The website had a map location of dealers and Canada was listed.

  6. Mineola

For me, the hands free bluetooth capability is an attractive feature. I’m a hopeless navigator in general, so there’s nothing there not to love! 😀

  7. I like that it tells you what lane to be in! Very interesting!

The features I like are the download update features and all of the updates that are availabe and easy to install. The others are the accesories availabe for the 4350. Such as: Windshield Mount, Vehicle Power Adapter / FM antenna, USB Cable, Adhesive Disk, Basic Cradle, AC Adapter w/ 3 plugs (US, UK, EU), 4.3” leather Case, 2nd Car Kit – Traffic. A great feature: integrated travel information from AAA TourBook® Guide.

lane guidance would definately be a nice feature cause the majority of the time, i have no clue what direction to tell my husband to turn and we end up having to turn around 90% of the time cause i’m always wrong.
traffic alerts are a nice feature too, especially if you’re not familiar with a city and when you approach it then you can avoid accidents and back ups and even construction zones.
i’ve been wanting one of these for the longest time. it’s way better than reading the old fashioned atlas and try to figure out what exit and how long it would take to get there and so on.

  600. Oh how much easier and pleasant this Magellan One Touch GPS would make my life. I can not believe all the features this little gadget can do. I have to drive for a living and I travel approximately 40,000 miles a year. I do outreach home visits for the elderly that can’t get into the office for their appointments and I also have driven for the volunteer transportation program which is sometimes 300 miles a day. I can’t tell you how many times i have been lost due to bad directions. It’s almost a daily occurrence. Some times I have to drive to Boston to take the elderly patients to their appointments and if you don’t know the area this is a nightmare. One of my favorite features is the LANE GUIDANCE that tells you what lane to get into. This would be so helpful in the bigger cities. I have a SanDisk and to be able to plug this in and listen to my favorite songs on the longer trips out of state would be so wonderful. Thanks for having such an amazing review & giveaway.

  830. flared0ne

The preprogrammed points of interest makes for an amusing pass-the-time, since some of those points are definitely things I would never have thought to go looking for…

  831. Mollie G.

I like the idea of programming up to nine different points of interest into the device, AHEAD OF TIME, so that once you get on the road you aren’t fumbling around to figure out “where was that place we wanted to go??” and having to pull off and unfold maps or, worse yet, hang u-turns to go BACK to something once you realize you already PASSED it…

  832. Jeanie

I have an older GPS unit now, and the one thing I have learned is that with this GPS up for grabs, it tells you what lane to be in. I know for a fact that would be a great help to me. I live in Dallas, where there are so many exits and merging and LANES. It would be very helpful to know which of the 5 lanes I need to be in when driving on these enormous highway system. THanks!!

  833. I like the “traffic alerts” feature. They’re working on the interstate here, and I never know when it’s down to one lane and backed up for miles. I would love to have this because I’m horrible with directions and DH gets so very frustrated with me!
